During 2007/2008, we have been able to support a variety of local, national & international organisations through our giving. Alongside various Methodist UK & overseas projects we have also supported the following:
Our Harvest 2008 project supported Seeds For Africa and Slough Refugee Support.
Junior Mission For All fund where £1 out of every £5 is used for 'Mission in Britain' and the remaining £4 for work in other parts of the World Church.
Christian Aid In the 2008 collection week, we were grateful to the 14 street collectors (and the envelope deliverers & treasurer) who valiantly knocked on numerous doors & collected over £2000!
NCH: a Methodist charity supporting children & young people in need & their families.
Cancer Research UK
Art Beyond Belief: a Slough based charity. The purpose of Art Beyond Belief is to enable dialogue across all faiths and none, through the medium of art regardless of race, colour or faith.
Lazarus Refugee Concern: supporting detainees in the Colnbrook & Harmondsworth Removal Centres.
SHOC Slough Homeless Our Concern: a drop in centre providing food/showers/housing & benefit advice.
Women's Network project: 'Trafficking' - taking action on the trafficking of women and girls in Europe.
Whitechapel Mission: caring for homeless people in London.
Scripture Union: particularly supporting our local ecumenical schools' worker, Wayne Dixon.

'Operation Christmas Child' or 'Samaritans Purse' 2008 appeal. With the boxes from St Mary's and St Laurence's, we sent off a total of 144 boxes; over 100 packed by the Brownies and Guides.
