Christmas cards:
You can support Toybox, Tearfund, Leprosy Mission etc by buying your Christmas cards from the Church Bookstall...
...You can also buy some beautiful, good value Christmas & greetings cards at www.add2yourlife.co.uk Click here to see the cards. Order online. All profits to St Andrew's. No postage charges for St. Andrew's congregation!
Did you know that this Christmas, the Post Office
are to issue both secular stamps and religious stamps,
and you will have to ask if you want religious stamps!!
Each Post Office then has to send in to HQ the total sales for each
(possibly to say that there is no demand for the religious stamps!)
Please support the Season by only buying religious stamps
and keep Jesus at the centre of the event.
There are some sample IBRA Bible-reading notes on the bookstall. IBRA notes can be ordered from Carol Palmer. Scripture Union, BRF and CWR notes can be ordered from Liz Tottingham on the bookstall.
Many thanks to all those who contributed to the 'Operation Christmas Child' appeal. With the boxes from St Mary's and St Laurence's, we sent off a total of 144 boxes; over 100 packed by the Brownies and Guides. I have been invited to the URC at Maidenhead to see the next stage of the boxes' journey and I will give Richard the details of that for the next Grapevine. Thank you all for your tremendous support. Joyce.
