This is part of the charity, Samaritans Purse. They ask people like us to collect, decorate & fill shoeboxes to be distributed to children who would not normally get any Christmas gift at all. For example, some children are not allowed to go to school unless they supply their own books & pens. Some of the items in the boxes that we pack thus enable children to start being educated.
Gifts sent are something to keep you warm; something to help you learn; something to keep you clean; something to play with; something to love.
'Our' boxes were added to others at the local Maidenhead collection point such that 7,300 went from this area this year!
