Methodist Church Trustees Privacy Notice
During the year, we have been able to support a variety of local, national & international organisations through our giving.
Alongside various Methodist UK & overseas projects, we have, for example, also supported the following:
Junior Mission For All fund where £1 out of every £5 is used for 'Mission in Britain' and the remaining £4 for work in other parts of the World Church.
Christian Aid money raised through church collections & donations at our 'Soup & a roll' lunches.
Action For Children: This is a Methodist charity supporting children & young people in need & their families.
Thanks to everyone who has had a collecting box for ‘Action for Children’.
SHOC Slough Homeless Our Concern a drop in centre providing food, showers, housing & benefit advice.
Scripture Union: particularly supporting our local ecumenical schools' worker, Wayne Dixon.
Link To Hope Recently, we were able to send about 130 shoe boxes and had enough cash donated to cover the cost of transporting them to such places as Africa, Central Asia & Eastern Europe. Every year the Link To Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal is made possible through the amazing support of thousands of children and adults in the UK and Ireland. As a result many thousands of boxes are delivered to children, elderly people & families in Romania, Moldova, Ukraine & Bulgaria.
Link To Hope works by taking the gift-filled box and hand delivering it to people in need, with no regard to their background or beliefs. They work with local partners on the ground to ensure that the gift-filled box is delivered with integrity and with respect to the local culture.
For more information go to Link To Hope frequently asked questions.
Donations to any of these projects can be made directly to the charity concerned.
